Our Counselor Zeliha Kocak Tufan and Asst. Rumeysa Atalan attended #GlobalCareerInSTEAM #Forum, organized byInternational Career Collective, Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center Science Diplomacy Hub and EURAXESS North America.
As a panelist our Counselor had an opportunity to speak about building an #international #careerpath with diplomats from other embassies:
Hearing from Michel Wallemacq(Embassy of Belgium in the U.S.), Samuli Kaijomaa (Embassy of Finland in the U.S.) and Yannick Tona(Embassy of Rwanda in U.S.) about global job markets, cultural differences and the tricks for building an international career was great. Marcella Kneppers (Netherlands Innovation Network in the U.S, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the U.S.) and EvelinaSanta-Kahle(Embassy of Germany in Washington, D.C.) even added more about how to engage with science diplomacy, skills that are needed through the pathway and considerations on cross cultural communications.
After the panel we had an opportunity to meet with talented international students fromThe Johns Hopkins University,New York University,University of Maryland, andUniversity of Pittsburgh.
Based on the students' questions during the roundtable, we can provide information about our funding sources with broadest coverage:
